Jeremy Hummel

Developer / Creator

My name is
Jeremy Hummel

My passion is to CREATE, this often takes the form of new software, applications, websites, 3D art, drawing, painting or games! When I'm not making something I like to spend my time LEARNING and ADVENTURING. Most of my learning takes place in the vast interweb, where I explore anything from videos on topics that interest me to research papers I stumble upon. I also enjoy going on adventures in the great outdoors and traveling to far away places.

Game Development

I love to develop games, Unity is my go to game engine, I am extremely comfortable developing 2D and 3D games and applications using Unity. However I have experience in other game engines as well such as Unreal Engine and Godot.

3D Artist

I have always had a passion for everything 3D and that includes modeling, rigging and animating stylistic 3D models in Blender, texturing them in Substance Painter and using them in my games made with Unity!

Quick Learner

I love to learn new things and spend much of my time seeking out new knowledge, and I pride myself on being able to pick up new skills quickly.

Time Management, Planning, and Coding Practices

I used to struggle with keeping myself organized, and found planning tedious and boring, and like many young developers I have written my fair share of spaghetti code. However, after many game jams, internships and school projects I have learned how important organization, planning, and good coding practices are. I work hard to maintain a organized work environment and when working on a project I spend a good amount of time planning, researching before I jump into code. But it doesn't stop when I start coding, I continuously push myself to write better code, I strive to write understandable, reusable, modular, and maintainable code.
